Independence police responded to a one car accident on Valley View Bridge early Tuesday. Early reports are that it is a fatal accident. Traffic was down to one lane on the Valley View Bridge heading west.

A semi-tractor trailer and a 2019 Honda car had struck head-on. Elijah Matney sustained serious injuries and Tammy Hayburn sustained only minor injuries while her boyfriend was uninjured. Charges are pending on Matney for driving left of center.

A vehicle crashed into the patio of Hola Tacos in Lakewood, Ohio, injuring five people. Surveillance video shows the SUV backing up into a barrier before lurching forward and slamming into a dumpster, then crashing through the fence on the patio. Four of the victims were taken to local hospitals and later released with minor injuries.

Dump truck driver Ryan Hundley pleaded not guilty for vehicular manslaughter in the deadly collision with Norfolk Southern conductor Louis Shuster in Cleveland. Hundley's bond was set at $10,000. The collision happened when Hundley was pulling through the railroad crossing with no flashing lights or railroad gates after stopping at a stop sign.
