Milan Hiteshbhai Patel, a 30-year-old Amherst man, died in a car crash in Huron County early Tuesday morning. Patel was traveling north along state Route 61 when his Toyota Camry went off the right side of the road, striking a ditch, traffic sign and tree. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was trapped inside the car. It’s unknown if alcohol or drugs were involved.
Diana Corona from Kentucky died in a car crash in Union County, Ohio. Excessive speed was a factor in the crash. The passenger was flown to Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in critical condition.
A man died after a single-vehicle crash in Union County. James Alexander, 68, of Raymond, was traveling northbound on SR 739 while driving a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban at around 7:30 p.m. Alexander crossed the center line and veered off the left side of the road striking a ditch and utility pole before the Suburban overturned.
