The crash occurred Monday morning on State Road 42 near the Vigo and Clay county line. The passenger had a severe cut on her arm and hand and was flown to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment.
A 5-year-old Altamont child was seriously injured Sunday at the Effingham County Fairgrounds when a horse racing pace car’s extended gate struck the child in the grandstand. The child was taken to the hospital and the incident is under investigation.
