Brownsville Police responded to a car accident involving three people in Brownsville on Friday, July 14. Patricia Noblett and Tracy Harris were struck by a 2005 Cadillac while leaving an event at the Edmonson County Community Center. Noblett was airlifted to Louisville for treatment of serious injuries, while Harris was treated and released from a Bowling Green hospital.
Northbound Interstate 71 in Verona, Kentucky was shut down Friday morning due to a rollover crash involving a dump truck. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal crash on I-65 southbound near the 12-mile marker. Both the left and middle lanes are blocked. One fire truck was rear-ended and totaled. The two occupants of the vehicle that hit the fire truck were pronounced dead.
Windy conditions led to a tractor-trailer rollover crash near the Flying J truck stop in the Cannonsburg area. No one was hurt. The incident happened on state Route 180 near the junction of Interstate 64.

A fatal accident involving a semi occurred in Sedalia, Kentucky. The driver, Mark Smith, lost control of the vehicle and was unable to be saved by first responders. The semi caught fire and exploded, resulting in a fatality.

Sources say that two people were injured in the crash, however their injuries are considered non life-threatening.
A two-year-old, Thomas Reed, was declared dead in a car accident in Winchester, Kentucky. Reed was a passenger in a vehicle that left the roadway and hit a plank fence. The incident is under investigation.
