Jones County deputies responded to a log truck crash on Monday, July 3. The log truck lost control, flipped onto its side and lost its load of logs. The truck blocked the roadway and took down power lines.
A Hazlehurst man died in a crash involving a truck and a cattle trailer on I-55 in Copiah County. Sergio Sandoval, 34, lost control of his Toyota Tacoma and collided with a Peterbilt before crashing into a Ford cattle trailer. Sandoval was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Hunter Guy, 24, was identified as the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident in Ocean Springs. Guy was traveling eastbound on Highway 90 when a westbound truck turned in front of him, causing the crash.

Two brothers were killed in a semi-truck crash on I-10 in Hancock County, causing traffic backups for miles. The cleanup process took nearly ten hours as traffic was backed up for 10-12 miles. Multiple secondary rear-ended crashes were caused by the traffic.

A driver was injured in a pickup truck crash in Jones County. The driver had non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital. The truck apparently left the road, hit a culvert and flipped during the crash.
