A two-vehicle crash occurred in Carthage, Missouri on CR170 and Fir Road/State Hwy HH. Jason Jones, 46, of Carthage was transported to Mercy Carthage with moderate injuries. John Kilmer, 40, of Carthage was not injured.
An 80-year-old woman from Gravois Mills, Missouri, died after driving her SUV into Lake of the Ozarks. Floy Beard was found floating in the water the next morning. This marks MSHP Troop F’s 15th fatal crash in 2023.
An 80-year-old man, identified as John Oates, died in Warren County, Missouri after his pick-up truck was struck by a train. The incident occurred on Sunday, 2023. Emergency crews responded to the scene just before noon. Oates was on Archer Road, just south of I-70, when he drove into the path of the train and died at the scene.
Mark White, 61, died in a four-wheeler crash on Saturday morning in El Dorado Springs. White rolled the ATV on private property in Vernon County and later died from his injuries at a local hospital.
Charles Smith Jr. of Cape Girardeau was arrested after fatally shooting Gary Denham of Oak Grove in a road-rage incident on I-70 near Oak Grove. Smith claimed that Denham cut him off and hit his car multiple times, leading him to fire a warning shot. Denham was found shot inside his pickup truck that veered off the side of the interstate and hit a parked vehicle at a gas station.
A 43-year-old man from Clinton, Missouri, was seriously injured Thursday night in a one-vehicle crash. The crash occurred when the man’s 2001 Chevrolet Silverado ran off the right side of the roadway, striking an embankment and a fence. He was airlifted to a hospital as a result of the crash.
A deadly crash on Missouri 17 south of Houston resulted in the death of Kiersten Bradley, while a 22-year-old woman and a baby suffered serious and moderate injuries, respectively. The driver of the pickup is in the hospital with serious injuries. This is Troop G’s 8th fatality of 2023.
Kyle Washia, 31, from Stover, Missouri, was killed in a car accident on Highway 5 in Gravois Mill. Washia was standing beside his SUV when a car hit him and his vehicle. The driver of the car fled the scene.
A 3-year-old boy from Beach Grove, Arkansas has died after being hit by a car in Cardwell, Missouri. The incident occurred in the driveway of a home on Route AC. The boy was pronounced dead at a hospital in Paragould, Arkansas.
