A box truck driver survives a violent crash in Springfield Friday morning. The driver of the box truck fell asleep and hit a guardrail, then flipped and stopped on its roof in the median of the eastbound lanes on I-44. No other vehicles were involved, and the driver of the truck was not hurt.
A juvenile is in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash involving a semi truck in Kansas City. The driver of the semi truck did not stop and continued traveling southbound. This is the second hit-and-run crash involving a minor KCPD has investigated this week.
Sandra Puckett, 55, was killed and Matthew Puckett, 32, was seriously injured when their Nissan Rouge was struck by a Ford F-150 driven by Richard Rogers. Rogers was arrested on drug and DWI charges.

Byron Lampkin died in a tanker truck crash in McDonald County, Missouri. The truck was carrying sludge and overturned after failing to stop at an intersection. Lampkin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Westbound lanes along I-44 at Fidelity are closed following reports of a construction crane crashing into bridge girders. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, a crane being hauled underneath the I-44 bridge around 1:30 PM Tuesday had its boom extended, causing it to strike girders under the interstate.
Byron Lampkin, a man from Bluffton, Arkansas, died in a semi-truck accident in Noel, Missouri. Lampkin failed to stop at an intersection, causing his truck to tip over. This marks MSHP Troop D’s 56th fatal crash in 2023.

A two-year-old boy from Thayer has died after being hit by a car Friday afternoon. The incident happened on private property in Thayer around 2 p.m. The child was taken to a hospital in West Plains, where he was pronounced dead.
