A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a pickup truck in Vancouver early Thursday morning. The crash happened just before 7 a.m. in the 10400 block of Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard.
Gerald Perri, 54, was driving north on Mechanic St. at approximately 3:14 a.m. when he veered off to the side of the right side of the road and crashed into a parked car in someone’s driveway. Perri was ejected from his car and died at the scene.
A semi-truck carrying chickens crashed on NB I-5 in Portland causing delays. Many chickens were spilled across the highway, some of which died in the crash. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.

Three people were seriously injured in an ATV crash involving a four-wheel all-terrain vehicle and a Honda van on North Harris Road near Evergreen Street in Portland, Tennessee. One person had to be air-lifted to a local hospital. Portland Police are investigating the crash.
A driver in Kennebec County, Maine, escaped a sinking truck after crashing into a pond. The driver, 19-year-old Chase Cloutier, was driving at a high rate of speed when he went off the road, broke through a guard rail, crashed through trees before sinking into the pond. Cloutier was able to swim to shore and had minor injuries.
A crash on the south end of the Fremont Bridge involving three cars and a semi-truck caused long delays during the morning commute. One person was taken to the hospital.
A fatal crash in Casco involving two vehicles has left one person dead and another critically injured. Dylan Chretien, 19 of Bridgton, died in the crash. A 20-year-old man from Casco was flown to Maine Medical Center with critical injuries.
Two people were seriously injured in a crash on U.S. Route 1 in Woolwich. Shawn McNeill and Kristin Nawrocki were taken to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries but are expected to survive. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
