Liam McGuire, a 16-year-old student at Fayetteville-Manlius High School, died after falling off a skateboard and sustaining head injuries. McGuire was holding onto the back of a 2010 Subaru Impreza while on his skateboard when he fell and injured his head. The driver of the car stopped and called 911, and McGuire was taken to the pediatric intensive care unit at Upstate University Hospital.
A Fulton high school student was killed in a crash that also injured another student Sunday night in Granby, N.Y. The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fatal crash. Fulton City School Superintendent Brian Pulvino sent a message to the community, offering support for students and staff.
Two international exchange students at Temple University died in an out-of-state crash on Saturday. Francesca Ward and Olivia Moore were pronounced dead at the scene of the solo car crash. Other students in the vehicle were treated at the area hospital and later discharged.
Four people, including a teenager, sustained life-threatening injuries in a head-on crash involving a school bus in Mount Kisco, New York. An unlicensed 16-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle while rounding a curve, crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a mini school bus from Yorktown Central School District. All passengers were taken to Westchester Medical Center.
A driver was arrested in Yorktown after allegedly crashing while intoxicated. The incident happened on Monday, April 24 around 9:30 p.m. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Geovany Aldana Martinez of Mohegan Lake, had allegedly been driving while intoxicated and had failed to maintain his lane while operating at a high speed.
A motorcyclist was injured after being struck by an NYPD vehicle in the Bronx on Tuesday. Fortunately, the victim did not suffer any serious injuries and is expected to survive. Both crashes are under investigation.

A motorcycle accident has left one person dead and caused traffic mayhem for much of the afternoon commute. The Westchester County Police Department says the motorcyclist was killed Monday afternoon on the northbound Bronx River Parkway in Yonkers, when he lost control and crashed just south of the Yonkers Ave. exit.
A woman identified as Brianna Scott died in a single car crash in Montgomery County. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died from her injuries at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam. Alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash.
A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car in Ballston, New York. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident and found the victim dead at the scene. The driver of the car has not been identified.
