A New York City tour bus driver has been ticketed for running a red light and crashing into a public bus, sending 18 people to hospitals. Most of the passengers injured had cuts, bruises, and scrapes. City transit officials blamed the Topview sightseeing bus driver for the crash.

A 25-year-old man is dead after a garbage truck crashed into a school bus and three other vehicles stopped at a red light in Hauppauge. The crash occurred on Express Drive South just before 9 a.m. The man inside one of the vehicles was pronounced dead, while two others were injured.
