An early-morning accident in the Town of Vernon left one driver dead and shut down a portion of Route 365. Dakota Little allegedly drifted into the southbound lane of traffic and struck a truck. Little was pronounced dead at the scene.
A fatal crash occurred in West Nyack, Rockland County on July 14, closing southbound lanes on Route 303. The incident resulted in a fatality. The Clarkstown Police accident investigation team is currently on the scene. Route 303 is expected to reopen before noon.
A Warwick police officer is in critical condition after she was involved in a serious crash with a tractor-trailer on Route 94 in Warwick. The officer was found badly hurt and unconscious, but regained consciousness and was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center. New York State Police are investigating the incident.

The victim was zipping along Hollis Ave. in Hollis at an unsafe speed and without a headlight when he veered to the right to avoid a car making a left turn onto 201st St. about 8:55 p.m. Tuesday, cops said.
A potential case of road rage between two drivers turned deadly on the Upper East Side. A 54-year-old man was killed after a minor traffic accident escalated. The driver of a Volkswagen Jetta hit the gas and pinned the man against a café window.
A car crashed into a house in Farmingdale, injuring a teen driver and their passenger. The incident caused damage to the house but no injuries to those inside. The exact cause of the accident is still unknown.
